Our new website!

We have had a little makeover which we hope will give you a chance to see what Regent House is all about. This Blog is designed to provide regular updates on the latest goings on at Regent House. In addition to our website, we also have a Facebook page where regular updates about the home will appear along with information that may be useful to people who have loved ones in a care setting or who may be considering that route in the future.

So, what’s new?

Angela McKay, our lovely new gardener has been braving the cold weather to to turn our large outdoor space into Hove’s answer to Kew Gardens, or something close to that anyway. She will be creating a sensory rich environment which our residents will be able to enjoy – when the sun finally decides to put his hat on! Bringing in new flowers and plants that will stimulate the senses, Angela will be creating a richer and perhaps more therapeutic experience for our residents and guests.

(If this sounds like something you would be interested in and you have some time on your hands you could brighten someone’s day by volunteering with us. Please call or email to express your interest – subject to DBS checks and referencing).

Creative Corner

We are an artsy bunch here at Regent House and would like to share our talent with you 😊 Our very own poet Laureate and Activities Coordinator offered this fun ditty for your enjoyment:

Regent House

Welcome all to Regent House, our cosy little home,

Feel free to wonder all around, feel free to have a roam.

The top floor has nice views up there, where you can see the sea,

The ground floor overlooks the garden, full of wildlife and big trees.

So, worry not, just rest and relax and have a cup of tea,

Enjoy the entertainment with the Activity lady Dee.

Smiles, fun and laughter come daily guaranteed,

Our aims and goals at Regent House, to keep you safe and worry free.
